Things I Never Thought I’d Do… Until I Became A Mom
Becoming a Mom is one of the greatest joys in life, but you better have a sense of humor to survive! There will be times when you can’t believe what just happened, and even more times when it won’t even phase you. Just keep on laughing, and know that you’re not alone. Motherhood should be its’ own sport, and you are a star athlete! Here are some of the super fun things I’ve experienced since becoming a Mom, that I could have never seen coming!
I Never Thought I’d:
*Fall asleep sitting upright in a chair, because there is absolutely no way I’m going to risk waking this baby up.
*Pump. In the car. On the side of the interstate. Or even better, while driving.
*LITERALLY cry over spilled milk.
*Come thisclose to answering the door with a boob still hanging out.
*Catch vomit in my hands, without flinching OR gagging.
*Find dried poop on my leg, and have absolutely no clue how or when it got there.
*Sing songs from Dora the Explorer in my car…. . Alone.
*Fly solo with an infant 14 times in her first year.
*Search high and low for the PERFECT Minnie Mouse costume that my daughter will wear for maybe an hour.
For even more laughs, here are some revelations from fellow Moms, who never thought they’d:
“Pick someone else’s nose, and not be weirded out!”
-Kristin, Little Mama Jama
“I never thought I would baby wear, for some reason I associated it with ‘crunchy’ Moms. Also, baby feet are the cutest and I can kiss them all day, but normally feet freak me out.”
-Amy, The Strattons Blog
“I never thought I’d hide chocolate in my nightstand and hide in the bathroom and eat it. Kids are stressful!”
